It’s taken a little bit of adjusting to get used to the time difference out here, and I’m still struggling! Mostly because it’s difficult to believe that as I’m waking up (sometimes at 11am!) it’s pretty much time to be thinking about bed back home!

Being in a timezone behind some of my East Coast friends has been pretty strange too, but I suppose that’s something I need to stop thinking about so much, especially if I’m going to be travelling to even stranger timezones eventually!

My first week out here has been both eventful, and not. It’s been nice to spend time here with my friend Jesse, catching up, grabbing food at a bunch of awesome places here, spending some time taking in the sights and meeting some family – having the time to chill out and ease into this has been perfect, especially when there have been a few things I’ve still needed to think about back home.

It’s definitely been a learning experience for me here, and I’ll be sad to leave on Monday. xx
